Personal Shoot - Lilac Locks
Color. It's something I tend to use very selectively, both in my own sense of style and in my photography. Neutrals? Bring it on. Blacks and grays? Now we're talking. A bright splash of white? Sure, come on in. But pinks and purples and blues and WOW?!? This recent portrait session showcasing locks of an extraordinary array of shades really made me look at color differently and realize that it, too, can reside within a curated space of perspective. Color can be bright and calm. It can be a celebration and a whisper. What is the creative process if not an opportunity to explore things outside our comfort zones? Try something that makes you a little nervous, and make it your own.
