Jewelry Photo Shoot Celebrates A Business Rebrand

I have been fortunate to photograph a lot of jewelry over the years, but my shoot with Estate Jewelry AVL certainly involved the most extravagant, jaw-dropping precious stones and metals I have ever had the honor to showcase. Let’s be real: this was a full-on bling parade.

Estate Jewelry AVL offers elegant, timeless jewelry with friendly service grounded in elevated service and respect for relationship building in a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. So what is estate jewelry? It’s any jewelry that has been preowned and preloved, whether it’s an antique or something more modern.

After almost two decades, it was time for a big rebrand of this well established business to better align the logo, packaging, website, and other marketing materials with the current spirit and future direction of the business. I work with many businesses at these kinds of pivot points to help ensure they have the best visuals possible for that intentional growth and expansion to succeed and thrive. Most photography in this realm is done in a manner which, to me, makes the jewelry feel completely inaccessible, an impossible reach. Instead, I was trusted to bring my signature style of soft and welcoming light, neutral backdrops and very strategically selected props (velvet boxes, silk and satin fabrics, travertine tile, gold edged ceramics) that aim to compliment rather than distract. This multi-day shoot featured extraordinary individual pieces and artfully styled groupings in a manner that feels both respectful AND inviting. I wanted the images to show how unique and stunning this jewelry is while also encouraging the viewer to want to reach out and try something on, just like the experience of being at the Estate Jewelry AVL shop.

Adding model photography into the mix furthered the mission to elevate the jewelry as stunning wearable art while also helping to show that these pieces are meant to be worn and adored, whether that’s for a special occasion or simply out of the joyful celebration of beauty. Those shots put the jewelry front and center while accenting with classic lines, pops of bold color, and a spirit of calm confidence. Some shots feature one piece while others group them together to demonstrate the wide variety of options available through Estate Jewelry AVL’s skillful curation.
