A doll can be a symbol of boundless imagination, a passport to play, an irresistible invitation to connect. I’ve watched Forest Creature Dolls spring forth from the heart and mind of Joti Marra Ramsey over the years and been absolutely delighted to witness her sense of artistry. We recently joined forces to capture a dark little fairytale world in my studio, honoring some of her most recent creations in a merging of cherished old storybooks, foraged forest treasures, and the delightfully complex layers of childhood nostalgia.
