Often in business (and in life!) we find ourselves at a pivot point, a place where we know that in order to grow and evolve we need to make changes that steer us in the direction away from what is holding us back and toward fulfillment and balance. This requires the bold decision toward action, fueled by intention and discipline. I met Emily and Kylie, the women behind Aesthete Rising, at this kind of pivot point.

THE STORY:

To shift their business, built from a sincere foundation of passion and creativity, to a place of reliable sustainability that could gain true traction and resilience while also honoring their community with consistency required change. Moving from the exciting but fatiguing cycle of limited run launches to a core product line that customers could purchase with regularity and trust has felt like one of many steps toward a preferred and prosperous future.

THE SHOOT:

My role as a creative collaborator was to capture images to showcase their new Essentials Line, including individual product listings for their store but also impactful branding images to help showcase their specific design aesthetic, color curation, and the energy behind their work.

Aesthete Rising has developed a large and devoted community of customers and advocates by cultivating a vibrant and contagious spirit of creative play and celebration of joy. I wanted to capture a similar energy to their in-person pop-up events and endearing social media presence with styled images that feel like a sales display or personal dressing area rich with color, texture, and resplendent adornment. Soft neutral backgrounds combine with painted shapes, glittering fabrics, and an inviting sense of dimensionality.
